Loctite 272 is a single component, high temperature resistant, high strength, anaerobic thread locking adhesive. The product cures between two tightly fitting metal surfaces in an air – free environment. The product penetrates between meshing threads through low viscosity and capillary penetration without disassembly before coating. This product is solidified between tightly matched metal surfaces and isolated from air to prevent loosening and leakage caused by shock and vibration. The product can also be used to fill microholes in welded, cast or powder metallurgy parts.

LOCTITE 518 provides robust curing
performance. It not only works on active metals (e.g. mild steel)
but also on passive substrates such as aluminum with a low
copper content. The product offers gap performance to 0.25
mm (0.01 in) and contamination tolerance. It cures in the
presence of minor surface contaminations from various oils,
such as cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids
and cleaners containing surfactants and corrosion inhibitors. -

For Assembly
1. For best results, clean all surfaces (external and internal)
with a LOCTITE®
cleaning solvent and allow to dry.
2. If the material is an inactive metal or the cure speed is too
slow, spray all threads with Activator SF 7471™ or SF
7649™ and allow to dry.
3. Shake the product thoroughly before use.
4. To prevent the product from clogging in the nozzle, do not
allow the tip to touch metal surfaces during application.
5. For Thru Holes, apply several drops of the product onto
the bolt at the nut engagement area.
6. For Blind Holes, apply several drops of the product down
the internal threads to the bottom of the hole.
7. Assemble and tighten as required.
8. For Sealing Applications, apply a 360° bead of product
to the leading threads of the male fitting, leaving the first
thread free. Force the material into the threads to
thoroughly fill the voids. For bigger threads and voids,
adjust product amount accordingly and apply a 360° bead
of product on the female threads also. -
LOCTITE 420 Quick-drying Adhesive for high and low temperature resistant metal plastics for general purpose
LOCTITE 420 is a clear, colorless, all-purpose adhesive containing ethyl capillarity. Applicable to metals, rubber and plastics, Primer LOCTITE SF 770 or LOCTITE SF 7239 can also be used in combination with polyolefin. The initial fixation time is 5-20 seconds.
