LOCTITE 222 for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners
For Assembly
1. For best results, clean all surfaces (external and internal)
with a LOCTITE®
cleaning solvent and allow to dry.
2. If the material is an inactive metal or the cure speed is too
slow, spray all threads with Activator SF 7471™ or SF
7649™ and allow to dry.
3. Shake the product thoroughly before use.
4. To prevent the product from clogging in the nozzle, do not
allow the tip to touch metal surfaces during application.
5. For Thru Holes, apply several drops of the product onto
the bolt at the nut engagement area.
6. For Blind Holes, apply several drops of the product down
the internal threads to the bottom of the hole.
7. Assemble and tighten as required.
8. For Sealing Applications, apply a 360° bead of product
to the leading threads of the male fitting, leaving the first
thread free. Force the material into the threads to
thoroughly fill the voids. For bigger threads and voids,
adjust product amount accordingly and apply a 360° bead
of product on the female threads also. -

Loctite 272 is a single component, high temperature resistant, high strength, anaerobic thread locking adhesive. The product cures between two tightly fitting metal surfaces in an air – free environment. High temperature resistance up to 230℃, can be used for cylinder head double screw lock, need heating and use tools when disassembling.
LOCTITE 272 is designed for permanent use. Long locking and sealing threaded fasteners. When held in place without air between tightly fitted metal surfaces, the product cures and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Typical applications include locking and sealing with large bolts and studs (M25 and larger).

The product penetrates between meshing threads through low viscosity and capillary penetration without disassembly before coating. conditions (time and temperature) may vary based on customers’
experience and their application requirements, as well as customer
curing equipment, oven loading and actual oven temperatures. -
LOCTITE 326 typical applications include bonding ferrites to plated materials in electric motors, loudspeaker hardware and jewelry where fast fixturing is required.
Where aqueous washing systems are used to clean the
surfaces before bonding, it is important to check for
compatibility of the washing solution with the adhesive. In
some cases these aqueous washes can affect the cure and
performance of the adhesive.
